CANCELLED: Tarrodi and Mahler

Tarrodi: Ascent - Concerto for Orchestra
Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 5
University of Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and conductor Anja Bihlmayer.
Mahler's fifth is his most performed symphony and is the beginning of a new tonal language from his previous symphonies. The fourth movement has been used in several movies, including Death in Venice. The initial piece, Ascent, is by Andrea Tarrodi. While writing it in 2015, she was inspired by swimming and water. Tarrodi describes the piece as existing under water, an oceanic ditch.
