I am a pianist in the realm of electro-acoustic improvised music. Over the last 20 years I have developed a vocabulary for inside piano playing, using preparations and objects that become extensions of the instrument itself.
My research investigates the real-time orchestration of timbre, through a spatial, perceptual and physical approach. During my studies, I have developed different artistic projects, exploring dynamic relationships between the piano, objects and space, while creating different contexts.
I work with amplification, multichannel playback and audio papers as a means to create immersive listening experiences. Memory piece explores shifting sonic realities by superimposing past and live performances, Piano Mapping is a project focusing on electro-acoustic sound spatialisation, Performative Timbre Space is an intensive listening study mapping vocabulary through materiality, movement and timbre, and in Accretion I use a choreographic, acoustic and physical approach to spatial composition.
