Welcome to the 3rd PARSE research Conference. This time with the theme "Human".

The theme Human
We welcome contributions that engage with:

* the inhuman, the subhuman, the body and inscriptions of the human (the contested universality of the human across the divisions of class, race, gender, trans, queer, ableism, neurodiversity)

* the imperiled non-human (the Anthropocene, nature, ecological catastrophe) and the technological non-human and objecthood (tools, machine, nature, world of objects, OOO, robotics, algorithms etc)

* the posthuman, pedagogy and the institution (anti-humanism, anti-anthropocentrism, critique of the humanities, the human produced by the university, knowledge and distinction, disciplines of the human)

* human mobility and nationhood (transnationalism, cosmopolitanism, migration, human rights, personhood)

* biopolitics, necropolitics and the governance of the category of the human

* decoloniality, post- and neo-colonialism (slavery, indigeneity, empire, desegregation, white Suprematism, white privilege)

PARSE is a research publishing project of the Faculty of Fine, Applied, and Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg. PARSE produces an open-access, online peer reviewed journal, a newsletter and different kinds of meetings, such as the PARSE Dialogues and the biennial international PARSE conference.

Ticket categories

60 sek: Most of all events

150 sek (regular fee), 100 sek (students, retirees): Orchestra concerts, X-mas shows, Operas etc.

Free tickets: Lunchtime events, school classes as well as children under the age of 12

Exceptions occur! Prices include a handling fee. Tickets are unnumbered – free seating. NOTE! In case that an event is canceled, the ticket price will be refunded, but not the handling fee.

Café Artisten

Café Artisten is open in connection with our events and offers light food and drinks. The cafe always serves Fairtrade and EU organic coffee, freshly baked buns, good cookies and much more.

The cafe offers a favorable package for the evening audience.
1 glass of wine / 1 beer 33 cl + seasonally inspired wrap: 110 sek.
