NNMPF Conference 2017

The 22nd conference of Nordic Network for Research in Music Education will take place at the Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg on March 14–16, 2017. The theme of this year’s conference is Music Education and Equality. The main conference will begin with registration on Tuesday March 14, 12 noon and end on Thursday March 16, 1 PM. The pre-conference (PhD seminar) will begin on Monday March 13 and end on Tuesday March 14, 1 PM.

The Keynote Speakers are:
Juliet Hess: Assistant Professor of Music Education, Michigan State University, USA
Lauri Väkevä: Professor in Music Education, Sibelius Academy of University of the Arts, Helsinki, Finland.
Elisabet Öhrn: Professor in Education, University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

    [25 Feb 2016] The prize for best folk/traditional album was won by Anders Jormin, Lena Willemark and Karin Nakagawa, for "Trees of Light". Jormin is an internationally acclaimed double bass player and professor of improvisation at the Academy for Music and Drama.
