This information concerns applications to the
Master of Fine Arts Programme in Music with specialization in Composition.

Entrance Requirements
A Bachelor of Arts in the Fine or Applied arts, a professional qualification of at least 180 higher education credits, at least three years of approved full-time studies in a programme for musicians or the equivalent and special requirements that comprise musical skills. Students may be admitted to the programme without having basic eligibility in the form of a degree.

Selection of eligible applicants is based upon assessments of submitted portfolios. All applicants are requested to send in a portfolio of at least three (3) compositions (scores and/or recordings) as well as a proposal on minimum three (3) A4 pages describing their compositional aesthetics.

The proposal and portfolio must be received by the Academy of Music and Drama no later than 1 February 2017. We only accept submitted material via the institutions online application system (DAP). The online application system opens for submission 9 January 2017.

If necessary, interviews will be held at the Academy of Music and Drama and applicants will be requested to come to Göteborg.

The application period for autumn term 2018 will be open 1 December 2017 until 15 January 2018. Apply via www.universityadmissions.se.
